Video: Kevin Rose talks about the New Digg V4 on DiggNation TV | hewreck

First, this Diggnation Response was a Bad move in my opinion.

…First, this Diggnation Response video was not the best move in my opinion. Kevin doesn’t seem to realize that it’s not all about the bugs and Fail Ox issues as he talks about in this video. The problem with new Digg is You can’t ignore the core user base that put Digg in the great position it was in a few weeks ago.
I think most Digg users like myself expected the new Digg to be an expansion upon what it already was and what made it good with room for the mainstream and for Digg to grow, not something new entirely.
People like Leo Laporte weren’t interested in Digg because they wanted to know what their friends like, not the developed community of Digg. The new Digg should’ve had room for the loyal Diggers AND the Leo Laportes. Instead he threw out Digg and made something entirely for the Leo’s and the so called mainstream . Will this new target market, if they even find and care about Digg at all, make it as much of a success as the old community did? I guess we have to wait and see. It just comes down to…

Army hero who lost a leg in Afghanistan denied a disabled parking permit by council bosses ‘because he might get better’

…the poor guy not only lost a leg, but then he had to leave Afghanistan and go to Newark. Afghanistan is paradise in comparison to Newark.

Google’s Stealth Investment in Game Co Zynga Exceeds $100 Mi

Google has privately invested as much as $200 million in social game developer Zynga.

…Although it has decided to retain a relationship with Facebook, its growth has put it in a much stronger place than it originally was.

Zynga Grows Like Mad

The $29 million Zynga had raised several years ago, for a total at the time of $40 million, almost seem like small potatoes now. Tech Crunch reported that it upped the total to half a billion in the last year, including a deal with Softbank.

“Zynga’s revenues for the first half of 2010 will be a stunning $350 million, half of which is operating profit. Zynga is projecting at least $1.0 billion in revenue in 2011, say our sources. This blows previous estimates out of the water.”

Google Games

Google’s desire to build a gaming destination site, Google Games, meshes nicely with Zynga’s leadership in the social game sphere, not to mention its Zynga estimated $5 billion in worth and 200 million users.

Google’s also been conscientious about serving its “downstream,” those areas of interest people track from the search engine. The next in line, as we…

Top 5 Events and Incidents In Video Games

Every so often, events that transpire in video games demand the attention of gamers, the media, and politicians everywhere. Some of these events create frustration, while others create a feeling of unity and belonging.

…t log off. This meant that the slightest hiccup in the players connection would result in being disconnected for good. In order to maintain their connection then, the few left had to leave their consoles on around the clock. Throughout most of the event, players still logged in would live stream gameplay matches. Players still playing also claimed that the only thing that will get them to stop, would be either their consoles breaking, or being kick off by Microsoft. Eventually, the dozen left would become one, when Apache N4SIR was the last one standing. By May 10th, Apache N4SIR would officially leave the game, and officially bring an end to Xbox Live support on the original Xbox. The few that remained throughout the whole ordeal received support and encouragement from Bungie, Microsoft, and gamers everywhere….

Top 10 Trailers From E3’s Hottest Games

The Electronic Entertainment Expo is one big dog-and-pony show. The annual high-profile come-on is an expensive, over-the-top attempt on the part of game-makers to woo and wow fans all over the world with their latest games.

…didn’t expect anything less. Excited for that.
4. Star Wars: The Old Republic in my opinion, nothing too special about this. Surely there will be nice graphics and effects, but it doesn’t look too new . But seriously, did that Jedi just Kamehameha that dude? Cool, but innovate please!
Those are my personal reactions/thoughts. I understand if you see things differently….

The highlights from this year’s E3 Expo including trailers for Castlevania, Killzone 3 and Skyward Sword

Rock Band 3 Adds Keyboards, Realistic Pro Mode

Even after three Rock Band games, Harmonix hasn’t given up on the dream of making you a rock ‘n’ roll star.

…Even after three Rock Band games, Harmonix hasn’t given up on the dream of making you a rock ‘n’ roll star.
Rock Band 3, which MTV Games will publish this fall on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii, adds a variety of new features that enhance the virtual rock star experience. Up to seven players can jam together on guitar, bass, drums, three vocal parts and a new instrument the keyboards.
With the full band assembled, you’ll be able to rock bombastic tunes like Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody and The Doors’ Break on Through. But in the new Pro mode, Rock Band 3 really blurs the line between videogame diversion and musicianship. Turn on Pro mode and you’re actually playing the song, note for note. The screen above shows you how the traditional Rock Band note highway changes to tell you exactly which keys to press. New controllers make guitars and drums more realistic, too.
Rock Band 3 will be shown in its full glory at next week’s E3 Expo in Los Angeles, but I got to try it for myself last month at a private…
