Among the changes listed, the “big weapons” and “small weapons” skills will be merged into one standard “weapon” skill. The explosive weapons (like rocket launchers) will be categorized into “explosives” instead of big weapons. A new orbital laser weapon can be used once per day, and the Bobbleheads are back to boost player stats.
…Overall I like the streamlining Obsidian plans on doing. Kind of seems like it’s only to appeal to more casual gamers, since I could see the average person not liking that he’s only able to use half the guns in the game (well, use half the guns with any good results in the endgame, at least), but eh.
As for Co-Op, I think the series could benefit from it. I’d consider it a plus if I could jump into a game with my buddy, but it’d have to be full inclusion (i.e., not what Fable did with henchman). They could make it work, but there’d have to be some rules set down, like no campaign missions… or recording even MORE character dialogue to work with 2 people.
Still want to play it either way though….
